Written by Diastème in collaboration with famous investigative journalists and political experts Fabrice Lhomme and Gérard Davet, the story homes in on Isabelle de Raincy who beat her far-right rival to be elected President of the Republic five years earlier. At the end of her first term, just three days before the first round of elections, she learns from her Secretary General Franz L’Herbier that the far-right candidate is leading the polls. They have three days to manoeuvre within the corridors of power in a bid to change the course of history…

Le monde d’hier is produced by Marielle Duigou and Philippe Lioret on behalf of Fin Août Productions and has been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+. The movie also enjoys the support of the Brittany region (where a large part of the film was shot) and of the SOFICA company Cinécap, and is set to be distributed in France and sold worldwide by Pyramide.
