found favour with the Filmmakers’ Jury composed of Gianfranco Rosi, Mounia Meddour, Monia Chokri, Franco Lolli and Rosalie Varda. Unveiled during Critics’ Week at the 2019 Locarno Film Festival, this Agat Film & Ex Nihilo production (co-produced with Arte France Cinéma and Arte France’s Society and Culture division) has been racking up awards since its release in French cinemas back in September via Ad Vitam, not only earning itself six nominations at this year’s Césars (notably in the category of Best Film of the Year, which encompasses all genres) - whose winners will be revealed on 12 March - and another for Best Documentary at the Lumières Awards, but also walking away with the Louis-Delluc Prize for Best French Film 2020. International sales are steered by The Party Films Sales.
