Written by Cécile Ducrocq, the story revolves around Marie, an independent and militant sex worker who has never needed to rely on anyone, not even to raise her son. When the latter is thrown off his post-graduate cookery course, Marie is unable to make her peace with it. Dreaming of a greater future for him, she decides to sign him up for one of the best cookery schools in France, but her income won’t cover the tuition fees. She needs to find a solution, at all costs. Even if it means leaving France…

Produced by Stéphanie Bermann and Alexis Dulguerian on behalf of Domino Films in league with Année Zéro, Her Way is co-produced and pre-purchased by France 2 Cinéma. Also enjoying the support of France’s Grand Est region and the Mulhouse Alsace Agglomération Authority - m2A, the feature film will be shot in Mulhouse and Strasbourg up until 22 January 2021. Distribution in France will be managed by Tandem (a new organisation founded by Mathieu Robinet) whilst international sales are in the hands of Charades.

For the record, notable works coming courtesy of Domino Films have included Bloody Milk [+see also:
