Written by Jean-Christophe Meurisse, Amélie Philippe and Yoann Gloaguen, the story of this dark comedy - which is based on real events and intends to paint a biting, funny portrait of a brutal and individualistic society on the slide – simultaneously follows in the footsteps of a retired couple who are deeply in debt and who try to win a rock dance competition, a minister who is suspected of tax fraud and a young teenager who makes the acquaintance of a pervert, all unfolding in France. Clearly, they’re in for a long night, and fire will be fought with fire…

Produced by Marine Bergère and Romain Daubeach on behalf of Mamma Roman (who are signing their name to their very first feature film) and by Alice Girard for Rectangle Productions, Bloody Oranges has been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+ and is also supported by the SOFICA companies Cofinova and Cinémage, alongside the Ile-de-France and Bourgogne Franche-Comté regions, where filming unfolded under the aegis of director of photography Javier Ruiz-Gómez. The film will be distributed in France by The Jokers, with international sales entrusted to Best Friend Forever.
