More than 70 projects have been launched on the platform RE>CONNEXT, a declination of CONNEXT, the first virtual platform for films and TV series produced in Flanders and in Brussels.

International sales agents, distributors, buyers from TV channels and streaming platforms as well as festival programmers from all over the world will be able to discover a total of 47 feature films and 26 series – fiction and documentary – by 31 October.

This virtual showcase was put together following the cancellation of the 50th edition of CONNEXT, the platform for the exportation of Flemish audiovisual productions, due to the Covid-19 epidemic.

Christian De Schutter, director of Flanders Image and of RE>CONNEXT, explains : “We are going through difficult times. The COVID-19 crisis still has an enormous impact on audiovisual production. Nevertheless, the RE>CONNEXT line-up includes many gems and surprises proving that the industry continues its work in a spirit of solidarity and pugnacity. RE>CONNEXT will allow these projects to find sellers, distributors and channels for broadcasting on television, on streaming or in international festivals to reach audiences around the world.”
