), the story revolves around 20-year-old Jade who steals a bag, one day, in the Paris underground. When she discovers what’s inside, she realises she’s just robbed a worker from a similar background to her own. Full of remorse, she travels to the home of the woman in question to return her property to her. As she rings the doorbell of a suburban home, Jade makes the acquaintance of Esther, a woman in her sixties. The latter, who’s wrapping up her career as head seamstress at the House of Dior and who isn’t easily fooled, offers to pass on her couture knowledge - which is, in truth, the only thing of worth she can offer - to the young woman standing before her.

Produced by Olivier P. Kahn on behalf of Les Films du 24, Haute couture is co-produced by Les Productions du Renard and Jouror Productions. Pre-purchased by OCS, the feature film enjoys the support of the Île-de-France region (where the picture was shot over the period spanning 8 November and 19 December), the SOFICA companies Cofimage and SofiTVCiné, and the House of Dior. French distribution is entrusted to UGC and international sales to Orange Studio.
