) and Fabrice Roger-Lacan (Mon cousin), the story sees Charly, editor-in-chief at a fashion magazine, inherit the family butcher’s upon her father’s death. And just as she’s getting ready to sell it, young butcher Martial decides to fight to take over the business. These two diametrically opposed characters will need to learn to co-exist…

Produced by Jean Cottin on behalf of Les Films du Cap and by Christopher Thompson for M&M Films, The Butcher's Daughter is co-produced by G Films and Belgian group Scope Pictures. Supported by the Ile-de-France region, the SOFICA companies La Banque Postale Image, Manon, SofiTVciné and Cinécapital, not to mention Procirep, the feature was shot over the course of seven weeks, starting 12 November, with Rémy Chevrin in charge of cinematography. French distribution will be led by Orange Studio and international sales by Other Angle Pictures.
