31/10/2019 - The Dutch film body will provide incentives to 11 features, three animated series and three documentary series, including 12 international co-productions

Jeroen Perceval, whose directorial debut project Dealer has been backed by the Netherlands Film Fund

The Netherlands Film Fund, the country’s main film agency, has published the list of recipients of its Film Production Incentive. The body will invest in 17 new audiovisual productions, which will generate over €20.5 million in production expenses across the entire spectrum of Dutch film professionals and companies.

The production in receipt of the biggest grant is Dutch-American eight-part second season of animated series Undone (€1,500,000), directed by Hisko Hulsing and produced by Amsterdam-based Submarine and Californian outfit The Tornante Company. The other two awarded animated series are Joris Oprins, Marieke Blaauw and Job Roggeveen’s Head Together (€308,005, produced by Viking Film and Job, Joris & Marieke) and Belgian firm Beast Animation’s Rusty 2 (€167,400), co-produced by local company Lemming Film and Brussels-based Mockingbird Productions.

In total, three documentary series will benefit from the incentive, namely Tomas Kaan’s Human Playground (€460,219, produced by NL Film & TV in cooperation with Totem Media and LoreLore Productions) Hans Pool’s The Singh Case (€176,777, staged by Submarine Docs) and Miriam Guttmann’s Seeds of Deceit (€179,474, a De Familie production).

Finally, the eleven features backed by the film agency are actor Jeroen Perceval’s directorial debut, drug drama Dealer [+see also:
