, his new film, which he is co-directing with Flemish helmer Tim Mielants. The film is a passionate love story set in the heart of the Presbyterian community and the spectacular and unforgiving landscapes of the Isle of Lewis, off Scotland’s north-western coast.

Phil, a stout 55-year-old Belgian man, lives and works on the Isle of Lewis, the northernmost island of the Outer Hebrides, northwest of Scotland. One evening, he suffers a stroke and loses his memory. Millie, also aged 55, whom Phil works for and who is a member of the small Presbyterian community on the island, has to take care of him. She ends up confessing to him that they were secretly lovers. Rediscovering the passion that used to exist between them, Phil and Millie once again become lovers on the sly. While Phil blissfully explores this new love affair and resumes his day-to-day life as a farmhand, Millie dreads the moment when his memory will come back to him and he will find out that she has been lying to him.
