EXCLUSIVE: Trailer and poster for Entwined
- Greek director Minos Nikolakakis is world-premiering his debut feature in the Discovery section of the 44th Toronto International Film Festival
City doctor Panos (Prometheus Aleiferopoulos) has to relocate to a remote village in order to offer his services to the community, although he will not immediately feel welcomed by the locals. When he sets eyes on Danae (Anastasia-Rafaela Konidi), Panos falls head over heels in love with her. Danae lives in isolation, away from the village, and has a mysterious skin condition. Determined to cure her, Panos will soon discover that Danae is not the helpless princess he thought she was, and time is of the essence for both of them.
This is the plot of Minos Nikolakakis’ dreamy debut feature, Entwined [+see also:

The Greek director, who also co-penned the script with John de Holland, was inspired by Greek folk tales and rural customs in the country, offering a mystical story set in the mountains of southern Greece, the very birthplace of these myths.
Entwined was produced by Minos Nikolakakis together with Lilette Botassi for Greece’s Inkas Film Productions, with Multivision, Authorwave and the UK’s Melancholy Star, and secured support from the Greek Film Centre and ERT SA. The world sales are handled by French outfit Stray Dogs.
