Class Reunion 2.0 will follow the main characters from Class Reunion 1.0 as they face a series of new challenges. Shortly after the class reunion, the lives of Thomas (Til Schweiger himself), Nils (Samuel Finzi) and Andreas (Milan Peschel), three former schoolmates on the verge of turning 50, seem as disorderly as ever. Thomas wants to settle down and get married, Nils is trying to get over the fact that his wife cheated on him, and Andreas dreams of finally finding his soulmate. After some off-key speed dates, a disastrous stag party and a funeral, the three men come to realise what is actually important in life: family, friendship and love.

As for the cast, actresses Lilli Schweiger, Stefanie Stappenbeck, Katharina Schüttler and Jeanette Hain will reprise their roles from Class Reunion 1.0, while a string of newcomers to the Class Reunion films are also on board. Among them are Bianca Nawrath, Alessandro Schuster and Timur Bartels as well as twins Daniela Reichert and Melanie Reichert.

Backed by the Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg, Deutscher Filmförderfonds (DFFF) and Filmförderungsanstalt (FFA), Class Reunion 2.0 - The Wedding was shot between 7 May and 4 July in Berlin and Brandenburg, and is intended to be the second part in a trilogy. The movie is being produced by Barefoot Films and Warner Bros Film Productions Germany together with Erfttal Film- & Fernsehproduktion and Seven Pictures. The German release will be handled by Warner Bros Entertainment Germany and is scheduled for 23 January 2020.
