An adaptation by the director himself based on Sorj Chalandon’s eponymous novel, the story plunges us into 1960s Lyon and centres around a son, 12-year-old Émile, and his father who regales him with tales of his many adventures. Produced by Olivier Delbosc on behalf of Curiosa Films, filming on Profession du père will continue in Lyon and the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region until 19 July. French distribution will be entrusted to Ad Vitam, while international sales are in the hands of FTD (France Télévisions Distribution).
