is also enjoying success at the Italian box office. It is currently only out in cinemas in Milan and Rome, distributed by 01 Distribution, but it has already taken €38,000 in just 5 days of programming. It has also registered the highest average ticket sales per copy (€1,354), according to the Cinetel figures, beating the American blockbusters currently on release.

From today 01 Distribution will be increasing the number of prints of The Miracle to 40, to be released in cinemas throughout Italy.
Last night, the director Edoardo Winspeare was given the Città di Roma - Arcobaleno Latino Prize for best film, during a ceremony held on the Lido. The award was given by a jury led by Gillo Pontecorvo and including Irene Bignardi, the director of the Locarno Festival.
