In a remote Icelandic town, an off-duty police chief begins to suspect a local man of having had an affair with his wife, who recently died in a car accident. Gradually, his obsession with finding out the truth intensifies and inevitably begins to endanger himself and his loved ones. A story of grief, revenge and unconditional love.

, the second feature film by Icelandic filmmaker Hlynur Pálmason, which is set to world-premiere in the 58th Critics' Week during the 72nd Cannes Film Festival. A co-production between Iceland (Join Motion Pictures), Denmark (Snowglobe) and Sweden (Hob AB and Film i Väst), the film is sold internationally by New Europe Film Sales.
