director Björn Runge will direct Emilia Clarke in Let Me Count the Ways, written by BAFTA winner Paula Milne. Clarke stars as Elizabeth Barrett, in the true story about the love affair between poet Barrett and playwright Robert Browning. The title comes from the world-famous poem How Do I Love Thee? Set in the mid-19th century, affluent Londoner Barrett has gained worldwide fame and recognition for her poetry. However, fragile and weakened by a mysterious illness, she lives as a virtual recluse in a darkened upstairs room on Wimpole Street, London. She is reliant on Laudanum to relieve her night terrors, which is administered by her protective, widowed father, Edward. When young buck Browning comes into Barrett’s life, Edward is determined to keep them apart, and the men battle over her.

The British-produced film is being staged by Damian Jones, of DJ Films (Goodbye Christopher Robin [+see also:
