, which was presented in the Berlinale Panorama, he has now picked a new set of characters, and is analysing the phenomena of cyberstalking and cyberhate in The Hater [+see also:

Actor Maciej Musiałowski stars as Tomek, a law student who is expelled from university for plagiarism. After the news gets out, he loses the support of his benefactors, the parents of his childhood friend. When he suddenly gains access to new technologies and a spying device, Tomek plots his revenge on his former supporters. The stakes are raised even higher when a politician running for the mayor of Warsaw’s office (Maciej Stuhr) gets embroiled in the situation.

, The Hater is Komasa’s fourth movie to revolve around young characters who are faced with life-changing events.

The film is being produced by Naima Film and co-produced by private TV broadcaster TVN, as well as by the Polish branch of Canal+, Studio K2 and Coloroffon. The national distributor is Kino Świat, and the theatrical release is scheduled for 6 March 2020.
