, the second feature by Albanian writer-director Robert Budina, whose Agon was the country's Best Foreign-language Film Academy Award submission in 2014, will have its world premiere in the Official Selection of the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival

) as Besnik, a shepherd suffering from a mental disorder who is taking care of his father, a former communist, in a village in mountainous North Albania. Up here, different religions have found a way to co-exist peacefully – Besnik is a devout Muslim, his mother was a Catholic, and his brother converted to the Orthodox faith in Greece.

Even following the discovery that the old village mosque used to be a church and that the building was actually shared by the two religions in the past, the calm of daily life can be preserved – with Besnik's help. After the death of his father, however, drastic changes threaten Besnik's family, and the shepherd is forced to forge his own path. 

Co-produced by Albania's Sabina Kodra (Erafilm) and Romania's Cristian Nicolescu (Digital Cube), A Shelter Among the Clouds was shot by Radu Jude's regular cinematographer, Marius Panduru (who also lensed the 2016 Sarajevo winner Albüm [+see also:
