The plot focuses on Djibi, who lives alone with Sofia, his eight-year-old daughter. Every night, he invents a story to help her get to sleep. When Sofia falls asleep, these extraordinary stories come to life in an imaginary world full of knights, pirates and dragons. In this world, which belongs only to them, Sofia is always the princess and her brave prince is none other than Djibi himself. Three years later, Sofia is due to start high school, marking the end of her childhood. Much to the despair of her father, she no longer needs his bedtime stories. In real life, Djibi will have to accept that his daughter is destined to grow up and move away from home. While in the World of Stories, the prince will have to face his most epic adventure yet. Produced by Philippe Rousselet and Jonathan Blumental and combining the production of Prélude, Pathé, StudioCanal and TF1 Films Production, The Lost Prince will be shooting from 30 July to 5 October. French distribution will be provided by Pathé. While international sales will be launched by StudioCanal at the Film Market at the 71st Cannes Film Festival (8 to 19 May).
