Since its inception ten years ago, Ateliers du Cinéma Européen (ACE) has steadily become a major player in the training and development it offers to indie producers. Now the organisation which numbers over 130 associates in 17 territories is extending its range of activities by means of a new dedicated website. This instrument will prove invaluable in consolidating and strengthening pre-existing links and in setting up funding for projects.

ACE prides itself on offering European independent producers valid alternatives to big budget major production strategies, thus ensuring their projects are developed under the best possible conditions. Every year ACE selects around 12 producers with feature film projects targeting a wide-ranging international audience, and follows their progress every step of the way (screenwriting, finance planning, outsourcing and contacting co-production partners, sales, distribution, etc.,...).
ACE is also an important reference point for European industry producers, that allows them to exchange ideas and experiences both during the annual meeting (usually held in the spring) as well as during the year. Thanks to the intercession of ACE, this melting pot of ideas is rapidly transformed into projects to be further developed and produced. ACE is invaluable in breaking the isolation that often hampers the work and creativity of Europe’s indie producers, and allows them to exploit the resources at their disposal to the full thus ensuring the films they make have an excellent chance of success.
