by Ramón Salazar has come out on top at the 28th Nantes Spanish Film Festival, which unspooled from 28 March-8 April. In fact, the fourth feature by the director, starring Susi Sánchez and Bárbara Lennie, took home the two main awards at the event: the Jules Verne Award for Best Film and the Audience Award. Sunday’s Illness, which was produced by Zeta Cinema and On Cinema 2017, and which was released in Spanish theatres on 23 February and has been acquired for the rest of the world by Netflix, will also take part in the international competition at the upcoming Tribeca Film Festival (18-29 April).
