by Adrian Goiginger, who penned the story inspired by true events from his childhood, scooped the Awards for Best Script, Best Director and Best Feature Film, along with two more significant prizes. For the role of a drug-afflicted mother who is torn between addiction and love for her son, Verena Altenberger won the Award for Best Actress, and Lukas Miko brought home the statuette for Best Supporting Actor. Miko received standing ovations when he read the appeal by 248 Austrian film professionals (gathered under the hashtag #KlappeAuf) against incitement and hate speech as a reaction to the current political situation in the country.
