by Sergio Castellitto). The cast is completed by Anna Bonaiuto, Isabella Ferrari, Lina Sastri, Peppe Barra, Luisa Ranieri , Biagio Forestieri and Maria Pia Calzone

The film takes the form of a thriller that leaves much room for emotion: in a Naples suspended between magic and superstition, madness and rationality, mystery wraps itself around Adriana’s life (with the latter played by Mezzogiorno) as it is suddenly devastated by love and a violent crime. “I’m telling the secrets of a city familiar with gold and dust, a city that is pagan yet sacred at the same time” highlights the director, who in 2012, directed La traviata in Naples, at the San Carlo Theatre. “And within the framework of the thriller, a powerful love story explodes”.

The screenplay for Naples in Veils was written by Ozpetek together with Gianni Romoli and Valia Santella (who also starred alongside one another in Rosso Istanbul). The film is being produced by Tilde Corsi and Gianni Romoli for R&C Produzioni with Warner Bros. Entertainment Italia and Faros Film. It will be released in Italy by Warner Bros. Pictures starting from 1 January 2018.
