The aim of the Atelier is to support the finalisation of Italian feature film projects and facilitate their access to the market and the international festivals circuit, through meetings with professionals and international distributors. The deadline for applying is 10 October, but there’s an early bird discount on the participation fee (€25 instead of €40) for anyone who applies by the end of today, 30 September.

The selection of finalist projects will be unveiled before 11 November 2016. From all the projects it receives, the Milano Film Network will choose up to five finalists, which will participate in the 2nd edition of the Milano Industry Days - MID by MFN, held in partnership with the Lombardy Film Commission, on 3 and 4 December 2016 – during the Filmmaker Festival. The five finalist projects chosen for the Atelier and the 10 finalist projects chosen for the MFN In Progress development workshop 2016 will be presented to an array of producers, distributors, buyers, commissioning editors, directors and planners of Italian and international festivals, with screenings of works in progress, pitching sessions and one-to-one sessions. On 4 December, the final day of the MID by MFN, the following post-production prizes will be awarded to the finalist projects. All information on the regulations and how to register for the event can be found on the Milano Film Network website.
