Moscow showcases Teutonic films
Focus Germany will be one of the main highlights of the forthcoming Moscow Film Festival, scheduled for 20-29 June and part of the celebrations for the cultural twinning of Germany and Russia in 2003 and 2004. Wolfgang Becker’s Good bye, Lenin! [+see also:

film profile] will have the honour of opening the selection. Moscow is one of the East European film industry’s most important international showcases.
The Focus Germany programme features 14 titles including Solino by Fatih Arkin, Identity Kills by Soeren Voigt, Scherbentanz [+see also:

film profile] by Chris Kraus and Babij Jar by Jeff Kanew. The "Film around the world" section will feature Das verlangen by Ian Dilthey, winner of a Golden Leopard at Locarno 2002.
A number of major international German co-productions will also screen out of competition: Michael Haneke’s The Time of the Wolf Blind Shaft by Yang Li and Dogville [+see also:

The jury includes actor Moritz Bleibtreu whom audiences will remember from Run Lola Run and The Experiment .
