Lithuania will once again be on hand at the Cannes Film Market as it continues to boost its visibility in the international film industry. Following a successful 18 months – during which time it saw its films being screened at the likes of Sundance and Berlin, and the filming of large-scale productions took place in the country, including the BBC’s adaptation of War and Peace – the nation will hope to inform even more people about the benefits it has to offer. These include the corporate tax exemptions that have made it so attractive to foreign productions over the past few years.

Lithuania is also represented by Dagnė Vildžiūnaitė in Producers on the Move, organised by European Film Promotion. She will introduce her latest projects: the Lithuanian-Romanian co-production Together Forever [+see also:

The market will also include a screening of the feature Kings' Shift [+see also:

 by Ignas Miškinis, while the Short Film Corner will play host to six Lithuanian shorts.

The showcase of the Lithuanian film industry at the Cannes Film Festival is organised and funded by the Lithuanian Film Centre.
