Taormina Screenings

The forthcoming Summer Screenings will take place on the eve of the Taormina-BNL Film Fest, on 4-6 June.
Organised by Anec, Unidim and Anem, respectively Italy’s exhibitors’, distributors’ and multiplex associations, the programme includes four Italian premieres, two of which are European: Spain’s El otro lado del la cama (The Wrong Side of the Bed) by Emilio Martinez Lazaro, starring Paz Vega, and Natalia Verbene, and a Frenco-Belgian-Canadian co-production and the “revelation” of the last Cannes Film Festival, Les triplettes de Bellevile [+see also:

, an animated feature by Sylvain Chomet. Also screening are Basic by John McTiernan and Bringing Down The House by Adam Shankman.
Italian actors and directors like Ciprì & Maresco, Pasquale Scimeca, Eleonora Giorgi, Tonino Zangardi and Paolo Virzì will discuss projects in “Pronti Quasi Pronti” on 5 June. This will be followed by the presentation of the Golden Trailer to the event’s best teaser trailer.
Also on 5 June, an industry get-together on improving customer service will be moderated by Taormina BNL Film Fest director, Felice Laudadio, followed on 6 June by a debate into how to increase Italian film attendance.
