Sole cuore amore is the story of the friendship and solidarity between two young women, Eli and Vale, who have made opposite choices in life. Eli (Ragonese) is just over 30 years-old and is married to Mario, with whom she has four children. She lives in the province of Rome and travels for several hours a day to go and work in the city. She has no choice, as Mario (Montanari) has lost his job and she is the only breadwinner, but this doesn’t dampen her lust for life or the love she feels for her husband. Vale (Grieco), the same age, is a dancer, is single, and isn’t accountable to anyone for her choices. She lives by night, working in clubs and theatres, and is like an aunt to Eli’s children. The two women have been friends forever. But human solidarity, love and the desire to live aren’t enough to alleviate the immense strain on Eli’s shoulders.

Filming for Sole cuore amore, which started on 6 November, will go on for five weeks in Rome and the surrounding area. The film’s photography has been entrusted to Gherardo Gossi (A Street in Palermo [+see also:
