Contributions from Mibact for Ozpetek, Virzì and Rossi Stuart’s new films

Fourteen feature film projects were recently granted funding from Mibact, the Italian Ministry for Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism during the meeting of the Commission for Cinematography, which met on 30 July, for a total of €5 million. The highest sum (€700 thousand) of this first session of 2015 was allocated to Ferzan Ozpetek’s new film, Rosso Istanbul (R&C Produzioni), whilst €650 thousand will go to La pazza gioia by Paolo Virzì (Lotus Production) and Due by Kim Rossi Stuart (Palomar).

Ivan Cotroneo will receive €450 for Un bacio [+see also:

(Indigo Film) whilst Paolo Franchi and Roberto Faenza will receive €400 each, the former for Dove non ho mai abitato [+see also:

On 30 July, the Commission also decided which first and second films it would support: 6 projects have received funding, amounting to a total of €1 million.
