The French sales agent Doc & Film International is heading to the Film Market at the 68th Cannes Film Festival (13-24 May 2015) and has a slate boasting two titles being showcased in the various selections on the Croisette, as well as a raft of promising films in the pipeline.

Daniela Elstner’s team will be negotiating deals for the Franco-Italian-US co-production The Other Side [+see also:

by Roberto Minervini (read the article), which will be screened on 21 May in Un Certain Regard. The filmmaker is therefore remaining loyal to his international sales agent, which already managed sales for Stop the Pounding Heart [+see also:

Also featuring on the firm’s line-up is Beyond My Grandfather Allende by Marcia Tambutti Allende, a documentary co-produced by Chile and Mexico, which will be having its world premiere in the Directors’ Fortnight on 17 May.

At the Cannes Film Market, Doc & Film will unveil (exclusively to buyers) the animated Franco-Belgian co-production Phantom boy [+see also:

The two actors will play half-brothers who were unaware of each other’s existence until the recent death of their father; as they travel down a river in Croatia in a tiny boat, they are joined by an enigmatic Irish adventurer (John Lynch). The feature is produced by Belgium (Man's Films Productions), the Netherlands (SNG Film) and Croatia (Kinorama).
