Norwegian director Anne Sewitsky, whose feature debut, Happy, Happy [+see also:

, won the Grand Jury Prize at the Sundance International Film Festival in 2011, will return to Park City in Utah with her new film, Homesick, which will be launched in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition between 22 January and 1 February 2015.

“It’s a fantastic platform for entering the world market,” said Sewitsky’s producer, Synnøve Hørsdal, of Maipo Film, who has also produced Homesick, together with Åshild Ariane Ramborg. After Sundance, Danish international sales agency TrustNordisk sold Happy, Happy to more than 50 countries.

Scripted by Ragnhild Tronvoll and Sewitsky, Homesick is the story of 27-year-old Charlotte, who is longing for family bonds and acceptance, and decides to contact her 35-year-old half-brother Henrik, whom she has never met. But first, they must find out how sibling love manifests itself, since they have never tried it before.

Norwegian actress Ine Marie Wilmann and Swedish actor Simon J Berger (Call Girl [+see also:

/2012) star in the unusual family drama, together with Silje Storstein and Anneke von der Lippe. Nordisk Film Distribution has scheduled the domestic premiere for 27 March 2015, and TrustNordisk is handling international sales.

will compete in the World Cinema Documentary selection; in the Lise Lense-Møller production for Magic Hour Films, a film crew has for the first time gained access to the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs, where scientists are preparing for the meeting with intelligent life from other planets.

In the same section, Swedish directors Frida and Lasse BarkforsPervert Park describes everyday life in the Florida Justice Transitions trailer park, home to 120 convicted sex offenders – “a film about people whom no one wants as neighbours”. The Swedish-Danish co-production was staged by Frida Barkfors for De Andra and Anne Köhncke for Denmark’s Final Cut for Real.
