, the Neapolitan director and screenwriter returns to joke about regional diversity by comparing an average Tuscan school directed by a fussy and ambitious headmaster (Christian De Sica) with a class of wild Neapolitan kids led by an eccentric and listless teacher (Rocco Papaleo), strangely and unwillingly united as sister cities. Also starring in this musical-comedy with animation inserts are Angela Finocchiaro and Miriam Leone. Distribution, in 500 theatres, is managed by Universal.

Their stories intertwine via a football match and an audition, combining all their passions and frustrations, joys and disappointments, successes and failures. Also screened last October in Rome was Nightcrawler, with Jake Gyllenhaal, released today in 200 theatres with Notorious Pictures.

is another European release. This surprising black comedy with Michael Fassbender is directed by Irish director Lenny Abrahamson and distributed by I Wonder Pictures in collaboration with Unipol Biografilm Collection (26 theatres).

For non-European releases this Thursday, aside from Nightcrawler, audiences will find in cinemas the family movie Midnight Sun (Medusa Film, 300 theatres), the horror Clown (M2 Pictures, 150 theatres) and romantic comedy Words and Pictures (Adler Entertainment, 52 theatres), starring Juliette Binoche and Clive Owen.
