A session that stood out among the industry events at this year’s Seville European Film Festival was the project showcase organised by the Andalusian Audiovisual Foundation, together with the festival itself. An animated project directed by Juanma Suárez and produced by Forma Animada, Alfred & Anna Save the Music (read the article), which features an amusing story focused on the world of music, sees the involvement of composer Roque Baños and was developed with the international market in mind, is seeking to close international sales and get co-producers on board for the final stages. , is still revving its engine in the pre-production stage, and is preparing to seal the funding – it already has Andalusian producer Puraenvidia Films, Basque outfit Rioseco Audiobisuala and Russia’s Olympus Films on board. A movie in search of funding, Prevenidos, by Seville-born, New York-based Dani Zarandieta, will be a drama in which two characters (Iván Massagué and Thäis Blume) find themselves locked in a room with no escape. Lastly, Techo y comida, a production by Catalan outfit Diversa Audiovisual and directed by Juan Miguel del Castillo, which was kick-started through a crowdfunding campaign, is in search of funding, although it is already in the middle of filming – images of the shoot can be accessed online via live streaming.

The meeting was held with the aim of publicising the productions and developing potential ways for the industry professionals attending the festival to partner with them, at all of their various stages of production.
