The Danish Film Institute has approved a production grant of DKR8m (Euros1m) for Thomas Vinterberg latest project, Dear Wendy.
Lars von Trier wrote the basic screenplay - subsequently rewritten by Anders Thomas Jensen - about an 18-year-old who finds a gun that he decides to call “Wendy”. Dear Wendy is produced by Lucky Punch, a Zentropa-Nimbus company, and will be distributed by Nordisk Film Biografdistribution and heralds Vinterberg’s return to Denmark after his international co-production entitled It’s all about love [+see also:
