Written by the director together with his usual collaborator Yann Brion, the story revolves around seven men, four cars and 1.3 tonnes of cannabis resin departing from Malaga in southern Spain and heading up to Creil in the Parisian suburbs. But for Alex, Yacine, Majid and the others, what should have been a normal convoy turns into a disastrous one. Seven men – as well as Nadia, a French tourist who is returning from a trip to Morocco and is unwittingly swept along on the adventure...

Produced by Eric Névé (who is teaming up with Frédéric Schoendoerffer for the fifth time) for Carcharodon, The Convoy is benefitting from co-productions by Orange, Rhône-Alpes Cinéma, Cinéfrance 1888 and D8 Films, and also from pre-purchases by Canal+ and Ciné+. The shoot will take place in the Rhône-Alpes region (Le Perthus and Grenoble) from 23 September to 31 October, in Ile-de-France from 3-14 November, and will wrap in Spain on 17 and 18 November. The film will be distributed in France by Paramount, while international sales are handled by Indie Sales.
