(lit. “A Moment of Distraction”), which is currently being shot in Corsica, the filmmaker is investing in the comedy-drama genre, which he has only tackled once before, with All About Love in 2001. The cast of this new opus (which is a remake of the film of the same name, written and directed by Claude Berri in 1977) boasts two French film stars: Vincent Cassel (who, following the releases of Trance [+see also:

Written by the director together with Lisa Azuelos, the story sees childhood best buddies Antoine and Laurent take their daughters, who are 17 and 18 years old, to a summer house on Corsica. Laurent allows himself to be seduced by Antoine’s daughter, but will he dare to own up to it?

Produced by Thomas Langmann for La Petite Reine Production (which is working with Richet and Cassel once again after the Mesrine diptych), Un moment d'égarement is co-produced by France 2 Cinéma and M6 Films. Having been pre-purchased by Canal+ and Ciné+, the film is also backed by the Corsica region (where the entirety of the shoot will take place, having kicked off on 6 September and set to wrap on 3 November) and the Palatine Etoile 12 Sofica. Distribution in France is still being negotiated, and international sales are handled by Wild Bunch.

La Petite Reine also has the Cannes competitor The Search [+see also:
