35 producers and directors will present their pipeline projects during six pitch sessions. Worth noting in particular among those selected are Children of Dictators (Spot Productions - Hungary) and Life and Death of Max Linder (Amp Polska - Poland) in the History section, Renzo Piano, an Architect for Santander (Morena Films - Spain) in the Arts & Culture section, Adrift (Decima Rosa/Freeside Films - Italy/United Kingdom) and Connected Walls (Grizzly Films/Progress in work! - Belgium/France) in Interactive Documentaries, Bigfoot Files: Expedition Special Bear (Icon Films – United Kingdom) for the Sciences & Nature section, or even Mother’s Wish (Oktober - Finland), Doctor Mukwege (Les Films De La Passerelle - Belgium) and Dust (INA - France) in the Politics and Society section.

There are numerous workshops, "keynotes" and case studies on the Sunny Lab menu, which will explore the latest trends in interactive, immersive and participative narrative architecture. It is worth mentioning also that the special guest for this edition of Sunny Side of the Doc will be Tore Tomter (documentary procurement manager for NRK - Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation) and the audience can discover a selection of Big Screen films, which have all benefitted from Sunny Side, Asian Side or Latin Side markets organised for the last two years, through which they obtained part of their financing, partners, broadcasters and distributors.
