starring Geoffrey Rush (6 David di Donatello awards including best film, director and original score), Giuseppe Tornatore will once more be making an English-language film, The Correspondence, for which filming will start in May in the United Kingdom.

The director and screenwriter, who won an Oscar in 1990 for Cinema Paradiso, will be using the same team as he did for his last film: Paco Cinematografica will produce, Warner Bros Italia will produce and distribute and uConnect will take care of sales. Ennio Morricone will once more be responsible for the original score.

According to Screendaily, which broke the news, The Correspondence will be a romantic drama, which will follow the love story between a professor and a young woman working in his field.

The director was in Scotland this week looking for a location for his film, which will be shot in Edinburgh, York and other parts of Yorkshire, before finishing filming back in Italy. The cast is still being kept under wraps, although it seems a well-known actor is about to sign a contract for leading role.

Warner Bros Italia will distribute the film on 1 January 2015, the same date The Best Offer came out in 2013, which made over €9 million in Italy.
