With his Norwegian distribution outfit Fidalgo Films, Frank L. Stavik secured the rights to the romantic French drama Violette [+see also:

by Martin Provost about writer Simone de Beauvoir, while Tom Abell from British Peccadillo Pictures acquired Perspektive Deutsches Kino title Der Samurai [+see also:

by Till Kleinert as well as Panorama entry Test by Chris Mason Johnson. The film, which is set in the San Francisco modern dance scene in the early years of the AIDS epidemic, has been sold to Axel Schmidt’s ProFun for the German-speaking territories as well as to ABC Cinemien in Belgium.

At the EFM, the international sales agents are also looking for great products. ZDF Enterprises acquired the rights for the live-action film Pettson and Findus, which is based on the books by Swedish writer Sven Nordqvist. In addition, Global Screen picked up the sales rights for Marco Kreuzpainterner’s new film, Coming In, which tells the story of a gay hairdresser who falls in love with a woman.
