03/04/2003 - Read what's happening this month in the Belgian film panorama

The April edition of Belgian webzine Cinergie contains an interview with the actor Denis Podalydès who talks about his two most recent films: Le Mystère de la Chambre Jaune and Le Parfum de la Dame en Noir - both of which were directed by Denis’ brother, Bruno Podalydès and scheduled for release in Belgium in the near future.
This edition also includes the usual visit to a Belgian film set : Joséphine by Joël Vanhoubrouck, as well as a review of Alain Corneau’s latest feature, Stupeur et Tremblements [+see also:

film profile], based on the novel by Amélie Nothomb. Cinergie April also focuses on the Belgian winners of the Anima (Virginie Bourin for La femme-papillon) and FIPA festivals (Massimo Iannetta with La décomposition de l'âme), and on Valerio Caruso, the Brussels-based coordinator of Cineuropa.
