Films in consideration for the Sutherland Award in the First Feature Competition are: Chika Anadu’s B For Boy (Nigeria); Daniel Patrick Carbone’s Hide Your Smiling Faces (US); Anthony Chen’s Ilo Ilo (Singapore); John Krokidas’ Kill Your Darlings (USA); Alphan Eseli’s The Long Way Home (Turkey); Michalis Konstantatos’ Luton (Greece); Fabio Grassadonia and Antonio Piazza’s Salvo (Italy); Chloé Robichaud’s Sarah Prefers To Run (Canada); Rob Brown’s Sixteen (UK); Vivian Qu’s Trap Street (China); Fernando Franco’s Wounded (Spain); and Tom Shoval’s Youth (Israel-Germany).
