30/08/2013 - The Namur Festival will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its Production Forum, which has seen more than 70 fiction feature film projects in the making

For ten years, the Namur International French Film Festival (FIFF) has organized with the backing of its partners (CCA, OIF, CNC, SODEC, l’OFC, Téléfilm Canada, and FilmFond Luxembourg), the Francophone Production Forum. The forum was born from a common desire of the FIFF and its partners to pursue their reflection as to the film creation process, with the aim of offering an ever more appropriate and efficient backing to French-speaking cinema filmmakers during the development phase of their project.

This workshop welcomes for three days the filmmakers of 6 French-language fiction feature projects, bringing together for an intensive work session the director and the film’s producer.

The 2013 selection brings us to the four corners of the French-speaking world with L’Amour Idéal by Dima El-Horr (Lebanon) produced by Andolfi (France) and Abbout Productions (Lebanon); Body by Halima Ouardiri (Switzerland) produced by Close Up Films (Switzerland) and Eye Steel Films (Canada); Desperado by Richard Angers (Canada) produced by Productions Années Lumière (Canada); L’Invitation [+see also:

It is also worth noting that the festival will host Dans les traces d’ « Atelier Grand Nord », a follow-up to the writing workshop organized last year in Quebec, notably by the SODEC, which will also organize the 10^th Francophone Coproduction Encounters in November in Paris, for which the call for candidacies is open until September 27, for about twenty Francophone fiction feature film projects looking for producers.
