Valeria Bruni Tedeschi and Andreas Dresen honoured in La Rochelle

Whilst the Festival Paris Cinéma (read the article) begins this Friday in the capital, provincial France is also spoiled in terms of cinephilia with the 41st International Film Festival of La Rochelle, which also begins today with a very rich programme of almost 250 films to be screened until July 8th.

The event organized by the town in the Charente-Maritime region notably proposes a tribute to French actress and director of Italian origin Valeria Bruni Tedeschi with, amongst others, her last opus discovered in competition in Cannes, A Castle in Italy [+see also:

The Festival of la Rochelle will also pay tribute to German filmmaker Andreas Dresen who made it internationally with feature films such as WillenbrockGrill Point [+see also:
