German Films in Madrid and Barcelona

- The 15th Festival of German Films in Madrid starts today and will continue in Barcelona

Today, for the 15th time, Madrid is in for 5 days of German films (June, 11 to 15) and this year, the journey will continue in Barcelona (June, 14 to 16).

The 15th anniversary of the Festival of German Films in Madrid will open with Toke Constantin Hebbeln's Shores of Hope [+see also:

, a UFA Cinema and Frisbeefilms production which will be screened in the presence of the director and his lead actor Alexander Fehling.

Another highlight is the avant-premiere of Margarethe von Trotta's Hannah Arendt [+see also:

, a Heimatfilm coproduction which was awarded a Silver Lola at the latest German Film Awards. The screening is organised in collaboration with Spanish distributor Surtsey Films, which has planned to release the film on June 14. The festival will also dedicate Von Trotta a retrospective including Vision, The Promise, Rosa Luxemburg, and Rosenstrasse [+see also:
