Waltz with Polanski around a Polish crime?

Viennese actor Christoph Waltz who, since his first collaboration with Quentin Tarantino in 2010, has won a Best Actor Award in Cannes, two Oscars and acquired the status of one of today's most sought-after international movie stars, decidedly has a nice schedule ahead of him. As soon as he finishes filming The Zero Theorem by Terry Gilliam (with Matt Damon and British actors Ben Whishaw and Tilda Swinton), and as he (notably) prepares to play Gorbatchev in Reykjavik by Mike Newell, which will be filmed partly in the Babelsberg Studios in Germany, he has accepted the role of detective Jacek Wroblewski in a project based on an American initiative, True Crimes.

Set in the world of the Polish mafia, this thriller is inspired by the true story of Polish writer Krystian Bala, the instigator of an unsolvable murder case whose details he later revealed in his novel.
