'Made in Bavaria' in St. Petersburg

The Bavaria Film & TV Fund and the Goethe Institute are behind the first-ever review of recent German films to be held in St Petersburg. The event will run 1-8 April 2003, is part of the Made in Bavaria film promotion campaign and comes under the umbrella of the Russian city's 300th anniversary. The inaugural film is Vaya Con Dios by Zoltan Spirandelli, and it will be presented by the star, Matthias Brenner. winner of this year’s best foreign language film Oscar, directed by Caroline Link and produced by Peter Herrmann, Epsteins Nacht by Urs Egger and Nackt [+see also:

by Dorris Dorrie. A special highlight of the week-long event is the screening, in collaboration with the Russian National Library, of Heinrich Breloers’ Emmy-winning TV film about the multi-talented Mann family, Die Manns – Ein Jahrhundertroman.
