Sarajevo Film Festival has announced that the Tribute programme of its 19th edition, which will run from August 16 to 24, will be dedicated to Romanian film-maker Cristi Puiu.

During the five-day programme, the festival will screen Puiu’s debut feature Stuff and Dough, his breakout film The Death of Mr. Lazarescu [+see also:

, the Golden Bear-winning short Coffee and Cigarettes, the 2010 title Aurora [+see also:

, and his latest project Trois Excercises D’Interpretation.

Puiu served as president of the jury for feature competition at the 16th Sarajevo Film Festival.

In previous years, Sarajevo presented Tribute programmes of such film-makers as Abel Ferrara, Béla Tarr, Ulrich Seidl, Todd Haynes, Jia Zhang-ke, Bruno Dumont, Lucrecia Martel and Todd Solondz.
