FUNDING Belgium

"All-Belgian" selection for the 14th Wallimage/Bruxellimage session

by

- During its 14thsession, Wallimage/Bruxellimage exceptionally selected 4 Belgian authors: Savina Dellicour, Jonas Govaerts, Anne-Marie Etienne and Peter Van Hees

Savina Dellicour (photo), exiled for a while in London (where it's worth noting that she followed classes at the NFTS with Stephen Frears), has returned to Belgian soil for the filming of Tous les chats sont gris (la nuit). Another first film in the selection: the unclassifiable Welp, a horror movie set in a forest by Jonas Govaerts and produced by Potemkino, which supervised The Spiral adventure. An ambitious project, supported by a highly developed web strategy, and in particular a crowdfunding campaign aimed at raising funds to finance... cub traps.

Also selected, Tu l’appelleras Jeanne by Anne-Marie Etienne (whose previous film, Sous le figuier [+see also:

It will be the first majority Belgian production for Scope Pictures, which was until now mostly present in the sphere of big international coproductions, thanks to the Tax Shelter (HOUBA! ). Finally, Wallimage/ Bruxellimage reiterates its support for Wasteland by Peter Van Hees. In fact, following a change in the calendar and cast, the first round of funding had been cancelled, but this new version starring Jérémie Rénier has also been selected.
