The film is a coproduction between Ireland’s Subotica Entertainment and South Africa’s Spier Films. The production is being filmed under the terms of the Ireland-South Africa treaty signed in 2012. Post-production will commence in March in Dublin.

Subotica’s Tristan Orpen Lynch said, “This is an amazing smart and visceral maverick film. Jake has created a powerful landscape both physically and emotionally. It reaches out on many levels to a wide audience but is distinctive enough to be an absolute original classic.”

Michael Auret of Spier Films said, “Jake’s engaging tale of hope and courage in a neo-realistic dystopia will have universal appeal.”

Spain-based 6 Sales and US-based The Exchange are handling international sales. Ascot Elite (Germany) and Lusomundo (Portugal) have pre-bought the film.
