Tallinn Industry Days begin as Black Nights approaches conclusion

After almost two weeks of films and special guests, which saw audiences flock to cinemas, the Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival welcomed numerous industry guests to Estonia to take part in Tallinn Industry Days. With workshops and seminars covering multinational hits, Asian project markets, the potential of genre biz and crowd funding, the event shows the festival increasingly cementing its reputation as one of the most important in NorthEast Europe for its ties to the international film community.

), Steven Hoban (Canada, 338 Arletta Avenue), Peter van Steemburg (Magnolia Pictures), Colin Brown (Slated, CNBC), Nam Dong Chul (Asian Project Market), J.T. Nam (Network of Asian Fantastic Films), Steven Hoban (Ginger Snaps, Canada) and Travis Stevens (Snowfort Pictures, USA).

New opportunities for funding presented during the event are boosted by one of a kind film financing forum for Nordic startup and risk capital managers. The Industry Days aim to bring the two sectors closer together via a specialized finance forum matching industry tops with regional start-up leaders for funding and development possibilities.

The first day was topped off with a networking session and concert held in association with Tallinn Music Week, designed to showcase Estonian musicians to international guests and serve as a launch to digital platform www.filmmusic.ee, presenting the most outstanding current composers and authors, serving as an introduction and a doorstep to Estonian film music for international filmmakers, publishers and future partners.
