Written by the director, the screenplay centres on two very close brothers, who are both generalist doctors in Paris. They are both passionate about their profession and together dedicate all their time to their patients, much to the detriment of their practice’s financial health. But one day, they meet a diabetic girl and fall in love with her mother. Both falling in love with the same woman will disrupt what had seemed to be such a solid relationship.

Produced by David Thion for Les Films Pelléas, Tirez la langue, mademoiselle is notably to benefit from a pre-acquisition by Ciné+, and an advance on receipts from the National Film and Moving Image Centre (CNC), as well as support from Sofica Soficinéma, Cinémage, and Indéfilm. Filming is set to last eight weeks and be almost entirely in Paris. Pyramide is to handle the film’s distribution in France as well as its international sales.

Les Films Pelléas are also to start filming Pierre Salvadori’s Dans la cour (lit. “In the courtyard” - with Catherine Deneuve – read more) next Monday, and that the company also has the following titles in post-production: Serge Bozon’s Tip Top (with Isabelle Huppert, Sandrine Kiberlain, and François Damiens – screenplay co-written by Axelle Ropert - read more) and Nicole Garcia’s Il est parti dimanche (lit. “He left on Sunday” - also with Louise Bourgoin - read more).
